Back in 2017, I had the pleasure of writing poems to an exhibit of photographs at a local gallery. The photographer was Judi Angel, and the exhibit was called ‘Eyelines’. You can see that and much more of her brilliant work here.
iron and sand lines for us lines for the sand iron laid horizons blown a saharan sweep a geometry but the earth never neglects itself it does not wait for that distant thing on its way never arriving squeal of steel wheels loud then faint dreaming of disappearing platforms connection I touch you confluence we merge confederacy now we must defend what is patience for what our forbearance as though destiny is finite a destination a line to be crossed not just be a windswept thing




That desert is an unstoppable force.
