your frame, another's
at the Seymour Art Gallery, 2016

A selection of pieces on display at an exhibit of local artists at the Seymour Art Gallery in North Vancouver back in 2016. Apologies to the artists, all listed below, whose names lost connection with their work in the mists of my poor record keeping.
gallery creep
You creep because you are one;
you desire touch, to fondle,
submerge your frame
into another's,
run soft, searching fingertips
along the weft&warp
of any nearby piece;
roll & roll in billows
of blue & red silk;
dig nails into beeswax,
pop guitar strings loose;
grip the shaft of a mushroom,
cup the cap & not let go;
swing a power cord,
plug in & pull out;
clutch a rotary receiver,
press until flesh reddens;
slide the stem of a pink-petal rose
past your lips until oils & blood mix;
bury your face in the fur
of a grinning bear;
let tentacles squeeze your chest,
hooves stamp & stomp;
let your trembling paws claw
the small of the back
of a chipped, cracked steampunk doll;
graze the pastel pout
of an off the wall gypsy dancer
as she moves out, on and into you.

Great poem to illustrate the art exhibition with words.
Is that a g string or a b string? Snap! Guess it was a g.
Your poem is the speed dating of ekphrasis.
