I really like the cut of this poem’s jib. Marvelous word choices. I want to nap and dream in it.

I think this is one of the best pieces you've written. But you have so many styles that it's hard to compare. The language and how it flows, the imagery and the story telling. Where do I start? Masterpiece! Beautiful painting too. Both compliment each other. Sublime!

Such high praise! Thank you, Writer. I do have nagging doubts, though, about 'so many styles'. I just do what I want, but I hear a poet is supposed to develop his or her own 'voice'. Maybe that means something, or maybe it's what I'm already doing. Probably, I'll not worry about it too much and just carry on. As long as I reach readers like you, I'm good.

You definitely have a voice and many styles of poetry a compliment.

Do you have synaesthesia? This poem definitely has that connection between colour and feeling.

No, but that’s interesting. I think I think of poetry as a place where that is possible. Thanks!

Eugene Terekhin wrote a bit about a painting of light and water today, too.

"Eventually, I realized what made Aivazovsky’s art unique - his knack for catching that light. Not just physical light but also the metaphysical light behind it. The light out of which the fabric of the world is spun. "

His prose and your poetry are like the right and left hand of my Wednesday morning. Thank you! https://eugeneterekhin.substack.com/p/perceiving-the-invisible-the-frozen
