Hello Carol in Johannesburg! Welcome. In case you didn’t notice, my name is Alan, and I live in Vancouver, Canada. So glad you found my newsletter. Appreciate your thoughts on my poem!
Thank you for your personal response Alan from Vancouver.
Beautiful sharing of joy and thoughtful words are key to life. I bet if folks discussed issues kindly and respectfully all over our wide world, we would have less violence and strife.
Digging in my pot plants on the tiny balcony of my flat is my go to.
Whenever I feel sad or cross or frustrated, I dig deep.
Wish more folks would follow this practice instead of hurting people with ugly words and unkind or unhelpful comments.
Gorgeous poem and pictures.
Thanks Pilgrim! Glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful photos and words, as always Alan.
This is wonderful
Appreciate you stopping by, Rolando. Glad you liked it.
So much happens here with so few words. Beautiful.
Thank you, Ann.
Tender.

Childhood blues. 💙
Indeed! Thanks for stopping by, Patricia.
Love... So relatable and blue.
Thank you Pamela. Blue never gets old :-)
Paint brush blue days

to last years carried , perhaps
not to forget days blue.
Yes, was thinking of those school photos. I can picture her too.

Oh, didn’t we all wish that! Blue is my favorite color.
Mine too. Thanks, Carole!
Oh, this is lovely.
Glad you enjoyed!
A whole story in 22 lines.
Lives that intersected once. Where is she now?
Possibly remembering you, wondering if you remember her.
Life brings hurt to all who are capable of feeling it. Hopefully joy also.
Best Wishes - Dave
Thanks Dave. Last night watched a film about the writer Flannery O’Connor, in which she mentions the joy that comes out of sorrow, so yes, joy, too.
