for a new world
thanks so much, mpoetry!
Like a rap song. I tell you Alan, your poems sing out. You’re just so good. Thank you.
don't listen to rap, can't hold a tune, but I do what I can! Thanks, Dian.
I loved riding on the word-wave of this one, Alan 🌊
Apt image, I think. Thanks, Ann!
Cool.
Thanks, Franci!
Love this, Alan!
Many thanks, Paul!
You’re welcome. Much of my time is spent in a state of insouciance these days and I’m mostly thankful for that!
Wow. You found a place in my mind I didn’t even know was there. Well done.
The best sorts of poems, I feel! Serendipitous!
I want to be a carefree deluge vagabond too! Loved this .
So glad, Darienne!
Oh you have captured the long-gone dreams of my teenage self. Please can I share this on a future post of Three Things Weekly? x
Absolutely you can! Thank you, it’ll be an honour to be part of your newsletter!
The harpoon is thrown. A whale is struck. Book spine bent out of shape, the wind words fall as leaves from the wet floodwaters of willows. “Wave words” expression is what is there with hefty dive into depths.
Nice!
What an enjoyable mindscape!
Glad you enjoyed, Annie!
Just great fun. Thanks
Love this, Alan. Love the shifts in tone - especially when it breaks down into just chilled singing - and then resumes again, as if when it’s ready!
Appreciate the analysis, Thomas. Happy to hear it was working for you.
Final stanza rocks.
Hey thanks, Rod.
'Anti-ahab of the waves,' love this. Great word play too, it all works so well.
So glad to hear that, Treasa! Thanks.
Found this three times today, its beauty consoling, dressing Death as transformation, mindless ecstasy and home coming.
