Today's visual creation is from the German photojournalist, Thomas Hoepker (b. 1936), who in the early 1960s was assigned to rent a car and travel from coast to coast in order to create a portrait of America. See a selection of his work, including 'Coast to Coast' here. The poem below was written by Honest Joe first, then worked on by the photographer, and finally, by me. Only the title is original. The honest man, found He has the most who is most content with the least. -Diogenes Wave Hello to Honest Joe* The Loan Ranger at Joe’s Gun and Lock Shop Pawn Shop Buy Sell Rent Anything of Value Shop Drills Saws Motors Fans T O O L S Pistols Rifles Shotguns Shells G U N S While You Wait! Ancient and modern history in a form of ease to read with enlightenment Diogenes found his man. Better late than never. The poem is a loan on hold pawned paused waiting for return on a dollar.
