Ancient and modern history in a form of ease to read with enlightenment Diogenes found his man. Better late than never. The poem is a loan on hold pawned paused waiting for return on a dollar.

Love the photo you found to attach with the poem which I love. I wonder who's written what and how come Honest Joe and Thomas got to write the poem? Or am I off the mark here? What a fab piece. I didn't know Diogenes walked around with a lamp in search of a man. Ancient Greek philosophers always living the metaphor.

ahh, this reminds me of Honest Ed's, an iconic Toronto discount department store, famous for its glittery kitsch and garish, corny signage. I live a block from where it used to be, it's circus-type marquee signage blazing through one of the windows of my house. Given the signage in Hoepker's photo I could believe that Honest Joe and Honest Ed were cousins (Honest Ed's started in 1948 and closed in 2016). It is missed. And he shared identical poetic sensibilities with Honest Joe. Go figure.

I love your marriage of philosophy and poetry. As I sure you can tell that is a union close to my heart.
